Workflow
I'll be the first to admit that I have a pretty modest setup. I shoot with a Canon 40d coupled with the following:
Canon 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS USM
Canon 50mm f1.8
Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro USM
Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG APO
Sigma EF-530 DG Super flash
For editing purposes I use Adobe Lightroom 2 for 98% of the work and will jump into Photoshop for cloning out distracting objects or other heavy lifting. I find that Lightroom is all I need for nearly every shot I take.
Location
Most shots are taken around Columbus, GA. However, we often visit my wife's family in South Africa and that affords several shooting opportunities as well. I'm also an avid fly-fisherman and musician so the camera usually captures a few shots from those settings.
